A Newly Developed High Speed, Super Selective, Easily Managed, Highly
Mobile Liquid Collector that:
… Reduces Labour Costs
… Reduces Time
… Reduces Operational Hazards
… Is a Significant Advancement in Clean-up Technology
Background
Although currently only available as an attachment to an
excavator it has also been designed and manufactured for
use in the marine environment. The next model will have
flotation attachments allowing it to be deployed from a
seagoing vessel.
A Look at Existing Clear-Up
Technology
In the past, the only equipment available for pollution
clear-up or emergency situations, such as flooding, were
the traditional skimmers and static pumps. Static pumps
need to be manoeuvred to and operated within or close to
the spillage, carrying some health and safety risks.
Skimmers remove liquid but do not pump this away to a
container. The HD 80T pump eliminates both of these
issues, offering significant advantages and efficiencies to
spillage cleanup contractors, emergency organisations,
local and state agencies.
New Technology
The HD 80T is a unique pump device that eliminates the dual
need for a skimmer and static pump. As an attachment to the
common construction excavator, no separate power is required
because it utilises the hydraulic power take-off of the excavator.
The standard 500mm wide unit will move up to 80 cu metres
(21133 US gallons) an hour of water, utilising the power of a 2.5
tonne mini excavator.
Pollution can be Removed without
Operators in Contact with the
Waste/ Liquid
The pollution can be pumped by the operator
from the safety of the excavator’s cab with only
the HD 80T being exposed to potential
hazards.
Traditional methods would involve the operators
handling suction hoses in contact with the
pollutant.

Labour is Reduced Providing
Significant Cost Savings
With only discharge hoses to be handled and the
pump being positioned by the excavator, the
manpower required in the field is reduced and
efficiency increased.
All resulting in significant cost savings to the
contractor.

The High throughput of Water, speeds
Dewatering Operations and also
provides an onsite Fire Fighting
capability.
The HD 80T, fitted to a 2.5 tonne excavator
can move up to 20,000 US gallons of water in an hour.
With a double headed outlet - two 2.5” fire
hoses can be fed to full capacity.
With no need to prime, water transfer can begin
immediately.
